This winged scarab consists of three pieces: an actual scarab beetle and two separately made wings (44.19.199a-c). The scarab is of a greenish blue glazed faience, moulded with detailing on the obverse in yellow and red paint. The underside is plain with six holes pieced round the edge for stitching to fabric or beads. Glasgow Art Galleries & Museums loan sticker on the underside.
