Leather garter decorated with quillwork wrapped around birch bark with beadwork at edges. Lacks panel of rolled quillwork on pair. 13 brass or copper cones attached containing hair. One of a pair, possibly associated with shamanic ritual. Quillwork is a form of textile embellishment traditionally practiced by Indigenous North Americans utilising the quills of porcupines, and occasionally bird feathers.
