Information
Hook was staying at Coldingham, on the coast of Berwickshire in the Scottish Borders, when this painting was made. It was the first of his many trips to the North. The painting was begun at St. Abb's Head, Berwickshire, and shows a herring boat crew going out to fish.
The title of this work is a reference to the Lord's Prayer, used in Christian worship.
