Glass Inlay of a Profile Face

Left side profile of a face in red glass with inlaid white, blue and black eye. Would have been used as an inlay. From the Ptolemaic Period, or perhaps a little earlier in date. Described as "9. Head, possibly of a royal person. Red glass. XVIIIth Dynasty, about 1200 B.C." in the inventory of objects allotted to Liverpool from the Mond bequest prepared by Dr I. E. S. Edwards of the British Museum in 1939.
