Information

Giuseppe Agellio was an Italian painter of the Baroque period, active in Rome. He was a pupil of Cristoforo Roncalli (1552 - 1626), to whom this drawing was previously attributed. Agellio specialised in landscapes and was employed by contemporary painters to execute the landscapes and backgrounds of their works. He also had a great ability in painting architectural motifs.
