The Great Hall, Speke Hall

This watercolour depicts an interior scene at Speke Hall, a country house in Liverpool. A version of this illustration features in Nash’s book 'The Mansions of England in the Olden Time', a book depicting English country homes built during the Tudor and Stuart periods. Speke Hall was constructed in 1530 and is now owned by the National Trust.
