Information

Born in Blackheath, London in 1894, Dorothy Adamson trained at Miss Kemp Welch's School of Painting in Bushey, Hertfordshire. She went on to become a member of the Liverpool Academy and exhibited throughout the country. Adamson was primarily an animal painter and the Walker's collection of her work reflects this. Her work can also be found in the collections of the Williamson Art Gallery, Wirral and the Victoria Gallery & Museum, Liverpool. Adamson lived in Wallasey and North Wales during the 1920s before her death in Conway in 1934.
