Handle with carved spiral decoration with an animals head at the end (feline?). Byzantine? CONDITION NOTE (1998): Slightly chipped, surface dirt, worn. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession number 78251: HANDLES. (3) Bone, carved, two with heads, one spiral, surmounted with dolphin, one with a bronze ferule. 2 7/8" X 3/8" to 4 ¾" X 1 ¼".
