At Hastings : Sailing Boat on the Beach

Robert Weir Allan (1851 – 1942) was born in Glasgow and first exhibited at the Glasgow Institute in 1873, and in London, at the Society of British Artists in 1874. He was a painter of landscape and marine views, in oils and watercolour. This painting shows a sailboat moored on Hastings beach, East Sussex.
