Hat stand

Hat stand, one of a pair (to LL 5911), with globular tops, baluster stems, and spreading feet with cloud-scroll edges. Ornamented with designs in cloisonné enamels in a turquoise ground. On the globes are medallions with shou (longevity) characters, and between them arabesque foliage and bats holding sounding stones bung with jewels. Ju-i (ruyi ''as-you-wish'') borders. On the bases, shou medallions, archaic fret, bats, and scrolls. Similar ornaments on the stems. Covers with openwork designs of dragons and clouds.
