Head from a votive statue

Currently not on display

A small female head from a votive statue. The woman has wide eyes with well defined eye lids, the nose is broken and the lips are thin but have significantly faded. The hair at the crown of the head has a conical shape that may suggest that it was arranged in a fillet or a scarf ( sakkos ). She is wearing a wreath of slender leaves and flower buds. The hair at the back of the neck is short and has a cross hatched design. The woman is wearing round earings on both her ears.
