Headrest now in four pieces (base, shaft and top) with some loose fragments. Note on the record card that it may be from Sedment tomb 51 (or 251?). CONDITION NOTE (1998): Very dry, friable surface, discoloured, has had/got rot (spongy), surface dirt. Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 58303 "HEADREST. Wooden. 18th Dynasty. In three pieces. Base 8 1/2" X 2 3/4" by 7" high. Egyptian. Presented Sept. 1927 by Prof. Flinders Petrie, University College."
