Information

Silver (electrum) wire pendant, shaped to resemble the heh hieroglyph that denoted eternity: 'millions-of-years'. Once worn as an amulet to bestow eternal protection on its owner. Only the outer corroded silver wire remains and this is broken at one corner. From a robbed burial excavated by David Randall-MacIver and Arthur Mace in 1900 at Cemetery D at Abydos (Tomb D81).
