Walter Shairp, a Lieutenant in the Liverpool Blues, is believed to have been the author of this memoir 'a history of the raising and adventures of the Liverpool Regiment of Blues', a volunteer regiment raised to combat the Jacobite Rebellion of 1745 and disbanded afterwards.
