Silver gelatin print by W.E. Williams, 1941. Image shows HMS Repulse, Admiralty, escorting a convoy during the Battle of the Atlantic. The convoy had been ordered to disperse due to heavy seas caused by a gale. Photo taken from the S.S. Trader, Harrison Line. Repulse was sunk by Japanese bombers in the Pacific on 10 December 1941.
