Information

Pear-shaped copper coffee pot. Ewer had a wide mid-section which is fluted and filled with chased doecoration. The neck and spout of the pot are quite small and engraved with scrolling foliage. The lid is rounded in shape but with a flattened top which is crowned with a minimally decorated finial. The base of the pot is seperated from the body by a band of engraved vertical lines and the bottom lip repeats the scrolling foliage from the neck and lid. The thin handle is decorated with an abstract wave motif and is attached to the lid with a stylised face or snake-head.
