Human Remains; Cranium

Human cranium that has been given an accession number in 1978 because the item could not be traced in the acquisition records. The only surviving documentation is a label that mentions it was a gift of Mrs Cox – someone we cannot identify in our records. The label suggests the cranium was within the collections from at least 1900. There is trace of a black ink annotation on the left temporal bone. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, areas of loss, surface dirt, some white residue, some discolouration.
