Incense Burner

A brass incense burner in the shape of a deer with a smiling Chinese sage riding on its back. The deer hold a branch of possibly peaches in its month. A small tuft of hair representing the animal's third eye is incised between the eyes. Between the deer's ears is a unfinished area, the indentation finished with a red wax, possibly a repair. The Chinese sage sits, facing the front, holding a staff. The incense would be placed inside the deer and the smoke would come out through the figure's mouth and sleeves.
