The bowl is decorated in cloisonné enamel with lotus arabesques in a turquoise ground.  Border of ju-i (ruyi ''as-you-wish'') heads. The lid is elaborately ornamented with dragons and bats in clouds, and a shou (longevity) medallion and pearl.  Dragon design on the knob.
