Bright blue glazed faience in the shape of a fish. One side is modelled the other is flat. It has previosuly been identified as a finger ring bezel but there are no signs of where the hoop was attached.It may have been an inlay or an amuletic pendant. Condition Note (1998): Incomplete, surface dirt. Purchased for the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum at Sotheby's, London, 16 December 1924 (Bethell collection), Lot 358; previously in the Tyssen-Amherst collection, sold at Sotheby's, London, 17 June 1921 as part of a group of faience ring fragments from Petrie's 1891-92 excavations at Tell el-Amarna (lots 883-886).
