Alabaster jar inscribed with the throne name of the 18th Dynasty pharaoh Thutmose III in a cartouche (Menkheperra) and epithets. It was found buried in a foundation deposit beneath the Temple of Osiris at Abydos. The incised hieroglyphs are picked out in blue pigment. There is also a circular lid which is 47 mm in diameter.

Objects inscribed with the name of the king were sometimes buried in large pits in new building grounds during a foundation ceremony. These pits are called foundation deposits. They were filled with sacred amulets, pottery, basketry, food and small tools to magically protect a new temple, palace or tomb.
