Inscribed Relief

Fragment of basalt carved in sunk relief with part of a cartouche of Tuthmosis III with white pigment inlay. On the underside of the object there appears to be a pivot hole suggesting it has been used as a doorway threshold. Provenance is recorded as Deir el-Bahri in the 1906 auction cataogue of the de Rustafjaell collection (p. 6 [57], pl. IX [4].
