Service report for J P Teare, junior engineer officer, Liverpool Bridge, Bibby Line, voyage 28 Oct 1976 to 13 Dec 1976. Marconi telegram and envelope wishing a Happy 21st Mum and Dad, sent to Jeff Teare on Liverpool Bridge, Bibby Line, 29 December 1976. Vessel later renamed Derbyshire and sank in 1980. Teare was a member of the replacement crew sent out to meet the ship after an explosion in the boiler room had resulted in the death of some crew. The existing crew, except the Captain and the Electrician, were replaced. The ship then travelled to Amsterdam - Brazil to pick up iron ore - Japan. Teare left the vessel in Japan and returned to the UK.
