Ivory Disc Shaped Lid

Ivory pyxis lid with engraved decoration on one side and a hole in the centre. Only one or two of the engraved long leaves only the central medalion decoration survive. The medalion is framed by a band of thin circular llines as is the edge of the lid. In Between these two bands there is a band of small parallel curved lines. The disc is probably the lid of a circular box. In several pieces it is mended and fixed to a perspex mount, one third of the disc is missing.
