James Howie album, photographs of West Africa.

Photograph album of 55 albumen prints (includes one loose print at back), belonging to James Howie, Elder Dempster agent. Features images of life in West Africa. Some images are taken by Jonathan Adagogo Green (1873-1905) born in Bonny, son of an Ibani Chief. The album contains a copy of well known images of the Oba of Bonny, Oba Ovonramwen, on board ship Ivy being sent into exile in 1897.
