Jar

Slender cylindrical jar with rounded base. Typical of the the late Second Intermediate Period. One of the previous owners, Amy Urlin, assisted W. M. F. Petrie on his excavation of the cemetery at Abydos in 1901, which may have been the source of this object. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Incomplete, area of rim missing, pitted, chipped, discolouration, adhesive residue on surface, surface dirt.
