Jar

Basalt jar with splayed foot and twin lug handles, one of which is now broken. Carved from the hard volcanic stone basalt. Base is now chipped and uneven. Ex collection of the Wellcome Historical Medical Museum, but registration or accession number cannot be traced as the label has been removed and not recorded.
