Jar, bipartite, heavily shouldered. Label with serrated edge adhered to surface with printed number 418 which is how Robert de Rustafjaell collection items were labelled in the Wellcome collection. Placed over a round sticker with blue border. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Previous repair, surface loss, surface dirt. Compare with Ali el-Khouli, ‘Egyptian Stone Vessels, Predynastic Period to Dynasty III: Typology and Analysis’ (Mainz, 1978) no. 2181 Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 19-21 December 1906 (Robert de Rustafjaell collection).
