Limestone breccia ovoid shaped jar with pointed base and external round rim. Marked "22..." Most probably Early Naqada II in date. When in the owenership of the Danson family this was displayed in the ground floor hall of Dry Close, Grasmere (case 1 shelf a, no. A2). CONDITION NOTE 1998: Worn, chipped, surface loss, surface dirt. Compare with Ali el-Khouli, 'Egyptian Stone Vessels Predynastic Period to Dynasty III' (Mainz, 1978) nos. 1652-1653.
