Tall jar with polished surface, wide mouth and pointed pointed base. Accompanying label in John Garstang's handwriting "Eg. Dyn. IV. Mahasneh N of Abydos. Upr. Egypt".  

The region examined by John Garstang's team in this 1900-1901 season was about ten miles in length, encompassing the villages of Alawniyeh at one end and Bet Khallaf on the other, with el-Mahasna in between.

CONDITION NOTE 1998: Incomplete, half of neck missing, running cracks on break area, chipped, cracks at base, surface dirt.
