Tall jar with ovoid body, rolled rim, and narrow flat base. Handmade with a smoothed surface. No trace of a grave number.
CONDITION NOTE (1998): Surface is flaking off, surface loss, white residue on surface, large chips, discoloured, pitted, label adhered to surface, surface dirt.
Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 13558: One light red pottery vase of tapered shape. 14½" high 7¾" diameter. Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 26 June - 6 July 1922 (MacGregor Collection) Lot 1708: THREE EARTHENWARE CONES, from 151/2in to 121/2in high of Pre-dynastic times, the hollowed ends sealed up with discs or lids of earthenware, each cone bears an impressed stamp with hieroglyphs inscription.
