Large cylinder shaped jar with tall sides and slightly projecting rim. William MacGregor collection no. 2436. Auction sticker "935". Compare with W. M. F. Petrie, Stone and Metal Vases (London, 1937) no. 935 Wellcome Historical Medical Museum accession no. 15728. Purchased at Sotheby's, London, 26 June - 6 July 1922 (MacGregor Collection) Lot 935: "A cylindrical Vessel, in arragonite, with slightly projecting lip; 6 3/4 in. high by 7 in. diam." CONDITION NOTE (1998): Worn, scratched, pitted, surface dirt.
