Jar

Slender shouldered jar with pointed base, cylindrical neck and rounded rim. Marl fabric. Marked with an excavation mark in ink "385 A'07", indicating this is from grave 385 uncovered during the University of Liverpool 1907 excavations at Abydos. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Chip to rim, pitted surface, horizontal running crack around centre of jar, smaller one near base, surface dirt.
