Jar

Pottery jar with decorative indentations below rim. Reddish-yellow fabric with a light red slip, burnished vertically on upper body to a red colour with white paint bands. Marked with an excavation mark in ink "366 A'07", indicating this is from grave 366 A'07, uncovered during the University of Liverpool 1907 excavations at Abydos. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Large, open running crack at base, pitted surfacem patches of discolouration, areas of surface loss, large areas of white residue.
