Jar

Pottery jar with pointed base and rolled rim. Light brown fabric with red slip. Marked with an excavation mark in ink "383 A'07", indicating this is from grave 383 A'07, uncovered during the University of Liverpool 1907 excavations at Abydos. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Chipped rim, two running cracks from rim, pitted surface, discolouration, surface dirt, white residue.
