Jar

Slender cylindrical jar with rounded base. Typical of the the late Second Intermediate Period. One of the previous owners, Amy Urlin, assisted W. M. F. Petrie on his excavation of the cemetery at Abydos in 1901, which may have been the source of this object. Exhibitied in Glasgow 1912. CONDITION NOTE (1998): Chipped rim, cracked at base, pitted, adhesive residue, label adhered to interior, surface dirt.
