Jar, with ovoid body and ribbed middle section, a short straight neck, and a wide cylindrical cover. Decorated in underglaze blue with four medallions, in each of which is an interior with a lady and her boys playing. Round the shoulder, foot and cover bands with flower and fruit sprays. 

The LLAG has three more similar  pieces; LL 6138, LL 6206 and LL 6207. Such covered jars, called 'doppotten' in Dutch, 'dop' meaning 'cover', are typical of wares supplied to the Dutch market.
