Jar and cover

Jar, one of a pair (to LL 6108), known as 'ginger', 'prunus' or 'hawthorn' jar, decorated with white plum blossoms reserved on an ice crackle ground painted in different shades of underglaze blue. Evoking the dazzling plum blossoms of deep winter, the design often decorates covered jar used for storing new tea in the New Year.
