Jar with ovoid body, short straight neck, and cap cover. Painted with a court scene, the Emperor and Empress receiving petitioners in a garden pavilion. Border of triangular fret. Mark of the Chenghua period (1465-1487 AD) in six characters in a double ring, but the bowl is of Kangxi date.
