Information

Spouted vessel in the form of a figure with a braided lock of hair on one side and a collar around the neck. There is a big hole with thick rim at the back of the figure presumably to allow liquid to be poured inside. At the front, a pair of arms extends towards a pointed spout from which the liquid was poured out. The jar has a flat base, red colour with a white wash. Purchased in Cairo by Sir Henry Wellcome 24 July 1911. CONDITION NOTE 1998: Chipped, worn, surface dirt.
