Information
Oenochoe (jug) with S-shaped handle.
Turfa observes that S-handle oinochoai were used with basins with handles (including figurine-handles) for hand-washing ceremonies in Etruscan family cults, and thus are frequently found in tombs, either as heirlooms or in ceramic imitations (a related phenomenon occurred in Apulia and Macedonia).
