Eared basalt hatchet, pecked and ground into shape. Edge chipped. Marked in pencil "KOPTOS" and in ink "PREDYNASTIC. KOPTOS. Petrie" and in thick nibbed black "B Kaf...". Excavated by W. M. Flinders Petrie during the winter of 1893-1894 for the Egyptian Research Account.
