Flint knife, crescentic, end elongated for butt, bifacial, fine flaking. Marked in pencil 'fig K. XII 1890'. Excavated by Professor Flinders Petrie at the ancient town of Lahun, which flourished in the 19th and 18th centuries BC, around the pyramid complex of King Senusret II. Marked in ink '[figured?] in Petrie, Kahun, Gurob + Hawara, XII Dynasty, plate XVI p.3'
