Flint knife, convex back, straight cutting edge, butt tranchet flaked. Light purplish patina with grey-brown streaks, fine pressure flaking. Marked in pencil K 89 [Kahun 1889]. Excavated by Professor Flinders Petrie at the ancient town of Lahun, which flourished in the 19th and 18th centuries BC, around the pyramid complex of King Senusret II.
