This watercolour painting depicts a costume design from the play 'Queen Victoria'. The inscription to the right of the the female figure identifies them Lady Wilhelmina. The figure is standing, leaning forward, holding a small round object with a handle. Their hair is light brown and styled up in a bun with hair looped below the ears. The figure is wearing a white patterned overdress above an underdress or skirt. They are also wearing a shawl with a blue and green flower pattern. The shawl material either extends down the front of the costume or the underdress or skirt also features the same pattern.
