Lake Coniston

For the last 30 years of his life, David Baxter lived primarily in Rosthwaite in the Lake District. He devoted the majority of his artistic output in this period to watercolours of the local area. This watercolour is of the third largest lake, Lake Coniston, and though undated was almost certainly made after he moved to the area in 1934.
