Information

Mould-made pottery lamp. Pointed oval carinated body and rounded shoulders decorated with cable pattern. On the top of the lamp is a scallop-shell with Eros asleep, holding a cup in his right hand. A bow and arrow flank the nozzle. The wick-hole is set off by a ridge and a row of raised points. On the base is an impressed triple branch, above which is the first part of the name 'Euphranor' written in Greek.
