Lamp; oil

This is the only known survivng example of this shape, probably because it was easily damaged when hanging. These lamps were always rare, because Wedgwood's Oven Books record only six of them being made. The body reuses the design of the tripod lamp no. 8. The oil burners did not give much light, but perhaps provided a romantic amibence for the bedroom.
