Information

A large vase, ovoid body, high neck, and spreading base two gilt dragon handles. Decorated in cloisonné enamels with four large medallions, yellow, black and white, containing rocks, birds and flowering plants - lotus, peony, chrysanthemum and prunus, upon turquoise blue ground diapered with elaborate fret pattern and inset with butterflies. Row of metal rosettes on shoulder, and four metal belts tooled with key fret. Mouth fitted with a container for flowers, finishing above in a flat cover pierced with a cusped opening and decorated with bats and other symbols and turquoise ground. Incised mark of the Qianlong period (1736-1795 AD).
