Information

This leaflet is for an event called In Lesbian hands which was held inThe Liverpool Institute on Colquitt Street in the city centre on 9 May 1992. It was designed by the organisers of the event along with Andrew Dineley who went on to create much of the public health literature for Liverpool, particularly campaigns around men’s health and HIV/AIDS awareness. The event consisted of a number of creative workshops exploring women’s relationship with women and lesbian sexuality. There were a range of structured workshops, including creative writing, photography, touch, performance and sexual health. Alongside the structured workshops there was an unstructured element of the day which focused on the spontaneous, including graffiti art, face paint, body paint and woodcarving. The day was finished off by a performance from lesbian magician, Ms Tree.
